Just got back from the cast party a few minutes ago-whoo! I honestly did not believe that the show was going to come together. If miracles happen every day then our play would be it. 2 out of 3 of the ND plays I've been in I've started out hating and ended up loving. (Charlie Brown was the exception--I was sort of indifferent to the whole thing but that was in my angsty depressing freshman year). Sometimes it just doesn't seem fair after all the sweat, tears and blood to only preform it twice. But preforming is one of the things I think I love most about acting, because suddenly everyone is cheering for you and your friends and it's just this really amazing feeling. You can just sort of forget the problems you have or how much the director drives you crazy and just relax and enjoy it. After the curtain closed for the last time on opening night everyone just stood backstage screaming and cheering. Most of us-like me-never thought this play would come together.

And of course we always must have a cast party and a cheap rip-off of the Tonys. I got a tube of toothpaste. ^_^ Very exciting stuff. Everyone just danced and had a good time, and even abused Brian for awhile. I almost feel sorry for him, but sometimes he just brings it upon himself. Freshmen. =p We all had such a good time with some very strange pictures, ice cube torture, me trying to break dance and play guitar, and Chris throwing M&M's on us during the dance-off.

I'm also going to try the spring play this year. Not a musical, thank God. That's what I hate about the fall play is the fact that it's a musical, and we only sing for our auditions. I'm not a good singer but I'm bitchin' with a monologue. (Still on a sugar high...can't you tell?)

I still have to finish up my morality project, studying for two tests, get my permit before my parents kill me....tomorrow.
