I'm not afraid to fall; it means I've climbed up high.
Track
Track-My sport is your sport's punishment. You run laps when you get in trouble, we run laps because it's TRACK, DAMMIT!
Wow, I had a lot of fun at the track meet last night, which was good because I've been really pissy and slightly down lately. I got mad at a couple of my friends, and there's some family stuff...ahhh, this week was a nightmare. Thank God for the three day weekend. (Yay! ^_^) Trust me, I needed one.
But back to the meet. I ran a couple unseeded relays, meaning whoever was in those relays wasn't scored on them. I was really nervous before the Sprint Medley (400, 200, 200, 800) So I guess that's what really made me run so fast. I didn't do as well in the 4 x 2, but I still enjoyed it. To me, there's nothing more thrilling than a race well run (Try taht tonuge twister! ^_~)
I am glad my sister went, though. Track meets can be really, really boring, just sitting for hours between races. Sure, I love all my trackies, but after five hours, your brain seems to die, you lose all sense of what's going on (like what race is going on now, and are totally devoid of any thought or feeling.
Well, you get bored, anyway.
All and all, I really enjoyed this track meet. The only injury we had was when Mike pulled a hamstring T_T. That must've HURT! OW! I still think they could've at least stopped the race. Tch. Stoopid officals. Maybe I should get the guy who always shouts instructions before every race something for his throat. I hope he never loses his voice (but in a way, I do).
