Giving It The Old College Try
Wow, I had an awesome weekend! We all went up to Paul Smith's to visit Sarah for the weekend. It was so much fun. My parents rented this little cottage that I only actually set foot in once.

We got up to Paul Smith's around 10:30-11-ish and hung out in Sarah's dorm for awhile. We got to meet crazy Steve, Jon, Casey and a bunch of other people whose names I don't remember. After Mom and Dad left we all went and played pool.

It is here I learned my first college lesson: Know how to play pool. I haven't played pool in...a long time, even if we do have a mini pool table in our basement, which is where I'm sitting right now.

After awhile we headed back to Sarah's dorm and sat around watching TV while Casey was on the computer. Soon everyone was tired so we all went to bed except Casey. I slept on the floor that night but it wasn't so bad.

Sarah woke me up the next morning at 9 and we took showers, which was my second college lesson.

We walked up to the rugby field thingie because we had heard there would be a rugby game at 11. Alas, we were wrong. Oh well. We never did end up going to a rugby game either, which is too bad because Sarah said they were really funny.

Next we went into Plattsburg and went to Wal-Mart and Rue 21. Me and Dad didn't go into Rue 21, though. After that we all went to Friendly's--yay! Good banana split there. 'Twas very tasty. Later on they took me, Sarah and Kirstie out to dinner in Saranec (hope I spelled it right!). When we got back we put the leftover pizza from dinner in our room and as soon as we did the fire alarm rang! Apparently someone was stupid enough to put a metal pan in the microwave so we all had to stand outside in the freezing cold forever. When we got back inside we found out that Steve had stolen some of the pizza, so Sarah Kirstie and I all made the dangerous check to Steve's room.

Third college lesson: Always shut your door.

Karoke didn't start for another two hours though, so we waited around to see what would happen. Finally they cleared their technical difficulties and people got up and sang. Some were good, some were ok, Steve's were hilarious, and some songs were just completely destroyed. As Nick might say: They cut out its heart, poured lemon juice and salt on the wounds and threw it to the fire. "Brown Eyed Girl" was forever marred by Ryan. T_T

We left karoke early and went back to watch the end of Law and Order: SVU and Jumanji. Sarah and Kirstie kicked John out so we all could go to sleep. I got Kat's bed that night-yay-while Casey got the floor.

I woke up at 7:30 but had to wait until 10 before anyone got up. Casey was apparently up until 4 and was still sleeping by the time we left. Anyways, me and Sarah took a walk and soon Mom and Dad came. We hung out for a bit then left awhile later, forced to endure yet another six hour car ride. *sob*

So now I'm back at home, not exactly looking forward to Monday and my Chemistry test first thing, but hey, what can you do?

I am a bit sad, though. I tried to program the VCR to tape my show but it didn't, all I got was fuzz like in The Ring before the scary little girl pops out and kills you. T__T

Oh, Sarah, when you read this tell John I did get some sleep in the car.

'kay I love you buh-bye!
